I was enchanted by this euphonium cover of House Song so it sparked an idea…I’ve also been wanting to use this super cool video from UNC Health that captured how your neurons look in the hippocampus when you’re expressing thought. It looked to me like an art piece someone made but nope it’s just how effortlessly beautiful the human brain is. COOOOLLLL STUFFFFF📽️
“to the library” is also an allusion to Virginia Woolf’s “to the lighthouse”! And Fiction wears an “emerald broach” because The Wizard of Oz is the first fantasy movie I remember ever seeing. Thank you for listening and I hope u like this one it’s super special to me 😁 #poetry
I visited Mont-Saint-Michel over the summer and I’m still endlessly mesmerized by it. This is a quick picture I snapped on my point and shoot while I was leaving, but I think it captures its essence in a strange and haunting way. Far and small but vast and inviting. It’s one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited and looking back, it truly doesn’t feel real. I think it’s sort of how I envisioned the lost city of Atlantis when I was little. Sometimes there’s places in this world that you think only live in your imagination, so when you see something that strikes you as indescribably familiar, it feels magical. Kind of unsure why I decided to make this sappy post about an old trip but I wanted to capture the importance of exploring new places that make your heart feel fuzzy and alive!!!
The second picture is a wild poppy I picked and pressed from Normandy 🖤
