besides the 100m in elementary school track, PE in middle school, and a very random running era in 2018… i’ve never considered myself a runner
in fact i’ve literally said i hate it lol
but i want to challenge that
because who decided that??
do people actually enjoy running
or do they just become the kind of person who does it anyway
🤷♀️
& i keep thinking about this —
could i run if i needed to?
in an emergency, could i run for my son?
that alone feels like a good enough reason to try
if you’re someone who genuinely loves running
tell me why
and give me your tips for getting to the point where it doesn’t feel like punishment :-)

this is your reminder to get outside and get your hands dirty. ahhhh nature is such a gift
we planted 5 trees last month — a flowering pear, plum, brown turkey fig, lemon, and this one, a chinkapin oak, which we planted with some placenta powder from river’s birth in the soil too which felt special (i can talk more about that if anyone is interested?)
checking on these trees every morning with river has become such a sweet part of our rhythm lately. seeing new growth, watering them, tending to the land
we had a surprise freeze and i wasn’t sure if they were going to be okay, but they’re thriving right now and it makes me so happy
to plant a garden, to plant trees, to plant seeds, is to believe in tomorrow indeed. shoutout @ audrey hepburn
this time of year when the land starts waking back up is my favorite

was in tokyo with my soul family bout to celebrate my birthday, felt very reflective
now my son is almost 7 months old. i feel incredibly blessed. thank you for all the bday love 💌
