One year ago, Becoming Familiar debuted at Design Miami, where we were deeply honored to receive the Curio Best of Show Award. Thrilled to have been able to see this duo present their work for Fog and @marta.losangeles last night. It was a pleasure to be in my studio which has been shepherded and loved and taken to a new height by @tarabanski and his work. And now to have see the collaboration unfold between him and @mnjaekim — what a beautiful result that is only just the beginning.
When you can see yourself being anywhere and doing anything… what happens? This is actually a question I am curious about.
Someone said a teacher was using AI to generate images of her students in their ideal dream when they grow up. I’m not saying I want to be a grungy farm to phone dj playing prairie house….
But I am curious what happens when you can regularly see yourself in deeply different realities —
