In this next episode of Being Intimate, we talk about 10 common misconceptions about non-monogamy. We break down the things we often hear that just aren’t true for us and talk about what it actually looks like.

When we talk about building a village, we don’t mean an idealized commune — we mean a network of humans we can come home to around the world.
For us, non-monogamy isn’t just about freedom in love. It’s about creating a world where both us and our kids get to be surrounded by people who model presence, honesty, and resilience. And where weave a web of support, knowledge, and resources.
It does take a villiage, our village just looks a bit different!

People often say that relationships are about compromise.
But what if they’re not?
When two people are deeply in touch with what they truly want in life and love, alignment becomes possible without compromise.
That doesn’t mean we don’t make sacrifices — we do.
But those choices come from our own individual visions, not from giving up parts of ourselves to keep the other happy.
Because our visions are so aligned, those sacrifices don’t feel like losses, they being us closer to the life we desire.
We don’t shrink to fit each other.
We expand into a shared vision that holds space for both of us as individuals.

Compersion can take many forms.
For him, it isn’t about celebrating the act of her being with someone else…it’s about witnessing who she becomes through it.
The beauty isn’t in the act — it’s in her expansion.
It’s love meeting growth with awe instead of fear.

Have you ever cried because your partner was free?
Not from pain, but from the beauty of watching them be fully alive.
That’s what I felt.
And that’s what compersion really is — the joy in your partner’s joy, even when it isn’t about you.
It’s not detachment. It’s intimacy with reality itself.
There’s a kind of love that doesn’t cling, it witnesses.
It trusts that connection isn’t proven by control.
Compersion isn’t about being above jealousy.
It’s about letting love grow beyond possession… learning to feel beauty where fear used to live.
🎙️We explore this in Jealousy is a Portal, our latest episode of the Being Intimate podcast. Link in bio.
