When we dreamed up a chill picnic day with @artfulsoulsandwellness , this was exactly what we had imagined and somehow, it was even better. 🌸 Families came through and showed up with their littles, with sweet treats, and nothing but good energy. Picnic blankets everywhere, kids playing with stickers and bubbles, and parents connecting with other parents. The little moments were our favorite part: Story time under the trees. Tiny hands reaching for snacks on one hand and stickers on the other. Kids learning how to breathe through big feelings. Moms catching up, dads meeting other dads. Our Family Picnic & Playdate officially sold out faster than we imagined. 🥰 We’re intentionally keeping the gathering to a certain number so families have room to comfortably hang and connect, for kids to play, and for all to enjoy activities we’ve planned together. Thank you to everyone who signed up to spend a Saturday morning with us at McCarren Park. We’re so excited to bring families together, create space to connect over a shared meal, and to bring the spirit of community. Another fun experiment from our Little Passports Science Junior kit! This time we built a solar powered drawing robot. The kids were amazed watching it move and draw on its own, and even more excited when they realized it only works in the sunlight! So many curious questions and discoveries. Make your own ghostly garland 👻 Try this fun craft with your little goblins this spooky season. 👻 Materials Empty toilet paper rolls Scissors Paintbrush White Paint Black Paint (or marker) String or yarn Glue or clear tape ☑️ Instructions 1. Pinch a toilet paper roll in half and cut out a ghost shape. Keep going until you have a whole gaggle of ghosts for your garland. 2. Paint the ghosts white (or whatever color your haunted heart desires). 3. Pause while the paint dries ⏰. 4. Add eyes and a mouth using black paint or a marker 👀. 5.Thread string through the top of a ghost, add a bit of glue, and pinch the top closed to hold it in place. 6. We created our own Weddell seal the other day, and it was such a fun hands on project! The kids were so curious about how and why it worked. We built a tiny motor inside so that when we pulled the string, the little fish moved, just like the seal was catching its meal! @beginlearning @littlepassports

We finally got around to playing our Weddell Seals board game from Little Passports Science Junior, and it was such a hit with our 3 and 6 year old! The kids had so much fun spinning the wheel to see how much “food energy” their little seals would get and moving them forward on the board. Each spot we landed on shared a fun seal fact, so they were learning while playing. Better late than never, right? Please tell me I’m not the only one still catching up on subscription kits! @littlepassports @beginlearning
