Luke severed hand!
Haha ok no, this was a piece I made for a doctor to illustrate how to fix a fracture, as this is poseable.
But hey that looks almost like it, it's really fun to use this techniques to different applications as for make up, fx and more.

It's really stunning to see the work of @madphilg@tippettstudio in the behind the scenes and all the stories told in Ron Howard's "Light and Magic" documentary. Both seasons are great, watch them on Disney plus.
The evolution of the projects, the problems usually people take for granted in this kind of production and how Industrial Light and Magic and Lucasfilm were born.
Making a rod puppet of this guy could be really cool, as it was the original technique of how they bring this character to life.

Did you know that after release people believed that they used a real gorilla for the film or that it was a man in a suit?
Here a little fella that I made back in 2021, inspired by the original 1933 film, Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla vs Kong.
I loved the 2005 version, that christmas I got a handycam and made very crude tests with my Burger King toys from the movie haha, I remember I took all my family to watch it, some where not trilled by the giant bugs sequences hehehe, so fun. That was a crazy year.

Here some pieces I made recently. Holy! with the new Mandalorian and Grogu film, Maul series and Skeleton Crew there is sooo many cool stuff to do next.
What do you think that could be fun to build?
The documentary Disney plus "Light and Magic" got so much new insight on how they made the characters, puppets, suits and masks and I want to try that techniques they mention about foam skins.
Almost all of this were made the same way Phil Tippett made the ones in the original trilogy.
Same with the Chewie articulated mask, it's quite fun to research how stuff was made back in the day, if lucky to have feedback and tips from the people that worked on that too.

TOOL released the single "Sober" 33 years ago this month.
Here a poseable piece I made a while ago, stunning music video, such atmospheric weird vibe. Very reminiscent of the brothers Quay short films.
Do you have a favorite animated music video? I love the work of Michel Gondry and Gorillaz, if I have to choose 3, probably would be: "Feeling love with a girl" by the White Stripes, "There there" by Radiohead and "Californication" by the RHCP.

Wes Anderson’s ‘ISLE OF DOGS’ was released in theatres 8 years ago today.
With the hype of the movie I made my little Mili in the style of the film as a poseable puppet. Was really fun to make this, and was awesome to have the chance to talk with people that worked in the film thanks to this, to share feedback, tips and advice.
Can't wait to see the next animated project by Anderson, all is so cozy, fancy and like everyone is anoyed by the weather, or high on something. So unique.
