The lotus flower blooms from the mud untouched by the dirt, unbothered by the mess around it. That’s the story I tried to tell with this dress. Not just the beauty of the lotus, but the becoming. The rising. The pushing through.
When I started this journey as a young fashion designer, I was full of doubt, fear, and uncertainty. I didn’t know where I truly belonged, I just knew I had something in me that needed expression. Piece by piece, I stitched my story together. I grew. I struggled. I found my hands trembling sometimes, but I kept creating.
This final project dress for my advanced fashion training @prudential_fashion_academy is more than a requirement it’s a reflection of my growth. Inspired by the lotus, it speaks of transformation… of how something so beautiful can rise from the darkest places.
I poured my heart into every seam. And in doing so, I realized I’m not the same girl who started this journey. I’ve bloomed too. I am blooming.
Thank you to every single person who saw something in me even when I didn’t fully see it in myself. This is just the beginning.
