Festival season is almost here and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead While we prepare for everything that’s coming, Graffiti Utopia is still alive in Utrecht, a project that truly means so much to us. Festival season is here. On Tuesday we were at @lochal013 recording new content for @wildeburg and moments like these remind us exactly why we do what we do. We also never show up the same way twice. This time we experimented with @hellorokoko motion capture gloves to create precise 3D recordings of moving fingers. Always something new. Always moving forward. Souvenir @bksfestival 2025 Last year we brought our 4D fountain to one of the Netherlands’ biggest alternative music festivals for the very first time summoning the Goddess of Water in full colour, merged with liquid visuals by LSDIA. What you see here is someone mirroring the movements projected on the fountain. Those movements are originally performed by dancer @anastasia.bubulica . We love starting analog capturing real, human motion and transforming it into something that feels almost otherworldly. We’re back for 2026. Going back to the roots, just as nature intended, just as spring begins. An ode to what was always there. In 2020, we were invited to ceremoniously open the Dutch Tourism theme year ‘Ode to the Landscape’ and we returned to one of the most untouched corners of The Netherlands: the Oostvaardersplassen. Every image you see was captured there. Light moving through water. Birds in flight. Trees breathing. We took nature’s own movements and projected them back onto themselves a conversation between landscape and light. Sunday Funday. Last day of I Light U Utrecht ✨ We want to thank everyone who has been part of the development of Graffiti Utopia within this festival. Every day, many people pass through the Sijpesteijntunnel, discovering the stories we share through these projections. ***We are happy to announce that Graffiti Utopia will continue in the same location for three more months*** The decision to extend Graffiti Utopia comes from the impact the project has had on this space. The tunnel is sometimes perceived as unsafe, and through light and art it becomes more welcoming and friendly. The colorful utopian visions change how people experience this place. For visitors, Graffiti Utopia sparks conversations about how we live together and our shared future. For the interviewees, many of whom have not always felt seen or represented, being part of this artwork creates visibility and recognition. This extension is made possible thanks to @ilightutrecht Festival, who took the initiative to make this happen. Special thanks to Mattijn Boerkamp and Bastiaan Schoof, and also to Dolle Mina’s, Buddy to Buddy, and St. Maarten Street Paper for their essential role in this project.
