We’re proud to share that our founder, Fadhilla Ristianty has been selected as one of the participants at the Cannes Film Festival 2026, as part of the SFC | Rendez-vous Industry.
This program supports emerging producers in expanding their knowledge of short film co-production, fostering collaborations, and developing projects through mentorship and exchange.
She will be in Cannes starting May 14, feel free to reach out if you’d like to meet beforehand.

Faces I’ll never forget...
They called us the “weirdest batch” and honestly, I couldn’t agree more. To me, weird means fun, real, and unforgettable. My days were never dull because of their absurd jokes and random childish behavior that made every day unpredictable in the best way possible. Every chaos, every laugh, every quiet moment felt alive.
Seven months went by in a blink, but it was enough to turn a group of strangers from different corners of the world into one big family. Like any family, we didn’t always get along, we argued, disagreed, even drove each other crazy sometimes. But somehow, we always found our way back, with love (and laughter) at the end of every storm.
These seven months changed me. We grew, stumbled, learned, and became a little more human together.
This chapter will always be one of the highlights of my life. If only Instagram allowed more than 20 photos, because my memories of AFIS could fill an entire book.

Fala Pratika, born a month after Indonesia’s Reformation in 1998, discovered her love for cinema during childhood trips to local video rental stores. This passion led to her first short film in 2020. Intrigued by the complex experiences of women in Indonesia, she began exploring documentary filmmaking. In 2023, her first documentary project participated in the IDOC LAB (Indonesia Documentary Lab), marking a pivotal moment in her career.

This post was a bit delayed because I mysteriously got hit by a really bad vertigo attack right before graduation. So yeah, I celebrated calmly (read: forced to stay still) while still recovering 🥲
AFIS has been one wild, beautiful adventure, I was always excited for every moment of it. From learning tons of new things, meeting amazing people, finding a new family, attending BIFF, pitching at ACFM, to getting lost in the forest for 4 hours 🌲😌
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Huge thanks to all the professors, classmates, and office staff who were always there to help.
This is just a warm-up. Get ready, I’m about to flood your timelines with sentimental photo dumps. Sorry not sorry 🙂↔️

New Skill Unlocked: Sound Designing!
When I applied for Fantastic Film School 2025, I impulsively chose the position of sound designer, it just sounded fun. Once I got selected, it hit me: I actually had zero experience in sound. Total. Oh no!! I panicked, should I back out? But I gave it a shot… and it turned out to be fun!
One of the coolest parts? I learned how to create SFX using AI! Yep, from zero to generating weird (and sometimes creepy) sounds with just a few clicks. Mind = blown.
Sure, I struggled a bit (okay, a lot), but I made it through. Huge shoutout to Team 1 @happy_hajoon , @anniesong126 , @mb_07.04 , @momomomoc , @cmajorissues ,@jingxuan_chua , @soeuninseoul for being super patient and supportive, especially @yongjunee —I love you, Yong! And to @sheskangkong , who came all the way to our shooting location early in the morning just to teach me. Much love for you too, gurl!
Thank you @bifanofficial for giving me this chance. Was it stressful? A little. But mostly, it was a blast! Truly an unforgettable experience.
