One of the most unreal pieces from the Megalodon Relics collection. Featuring a genuine megalodon tooth with moonstone, lavender spinel, and pink tourmaline, suspended from leather and recycled silk cord options that completely shift the feeling of the piece depending on what you choose. Shown here on: -brown leather -pink recycled silk -aqua recycled silk I wanted these talismans to feel personal and wearable in different ways, so if you see a piece on the website but want it on a different cord color/material, you can always leave a note at checkout and I’ll do my best to accommodate it. ✨ Some combinations feel earthy and ancient. Some feel soft and ethereal. Same relic. Different story every time. I’m Kari- a jewelry artist based in Baltimore creating crystal and fossil talismans using genuine stones, ancient fossils, recycled silk and leather, and hand-fabricated details. My work lives somewhere between adornment, ritual object, and artifact; pieces made to feel powerful, personal, and deeply connected to the natural world. ✨ Available now at becomespellbound.com Xo, Kari #megalodonrelics #crystaljewelry #statementjewelry #artisanjewelry #fossiljewelry

If you didn’t know, Baltimore has a TRINKET LIBRARY! 🪎@bmoretrinketlibrary I asked Mary @MerrimentMaker if she wanted to drop some trinkets off with me at the trinket swap 📿 and she was obviously ready to go! If you don’t know me, my name is Kari, and I’m the face and hands behind 🔮@BecomeSpellbound ! I made some car charms out of pyrite, for protection and manifestation! 🚗⭐️ Mary made some duck rings, pins, and bobbles! 🐥 Both are beautifully representative of our brands. 🌈 We met up, showed each other what we made, and walked over to the library! 👯‍♀️ 👀 We checked out the adorable things that were there, added the ducks and car charms (plus some bonus 🌱 seed packets and 🦩 flamingos) and voila! Merriment has been spread! If you’re in the Hampden area, check it out on 📍 Elm, south of 36th. You can get some of our goodies for free! 🆓 And don’t forget to bring some cute trinkets, and you never know - the founder of the Trinket Library might just turn it into a keychain! 🎁 Follow us for more charm and merriment and please tag us if you pick up one of these treasures! MEGALODON RELICS is now live. This collection was built slowly, piece by piece, like assembling artifacts from a world that doesn’t fully exist anymore. Ancient fossil megalodon teeth. Sea-worn talismans. Moonstone flashes. Black leather. Recycled silks in shifting ocean tones. Chrysocolla, turquoise, fluorite, quartz, pyrite, spinel, pink tourmaline, abalone, and stones chosen because they felt like they belonged to the same submerged universe. Some pieces feel soft and luminous. Others feel dangerous. Everything is handmade by me in Baltimore, MD and inspired by ancient oceans, natural history, fantasy worlds, cinematic sci-fi, and the strange emotional pull certain objects seem to carry. MEGALODON RELICS is now available at BecomeSpellbound.com. xo

MEGALODON RELICS arrives tomorrow. Me, deep in my pre-launch ritual lying down covered in fossil shark teeth meditating on whether I belong to the siren side of the ocean or the abyss. For me? Definitely both. This collection moves between two energies:
soft sea-glass tones, moonstones, opalescent relics, pastel gemstones, and flowing recycled silks… and darker pieces built from black fossil megalodon teeth, deep turquoise, chrysocolla, black leather, ancient predator energy, and things that feel pulled from the deepest part of the ocean floor. Every piece is handmade in Baltimore, MD using real fossil megalodon teeth, chrysocolla, moonstone, turquoise, fluorite, spinel, pink tourmaline, quartz, abalone, and reclaimed materials chosen for both visual presence and energetic resonance. And that is just the Megalodon Talismans - there is so much more. MEGALODON RELICS launches tomorrow, 5.15. IG subscribers receive early access before the public release. So…
are you choosing siren or abyss? Xo, Kari #Megalodon #FossilJewelry #StatementJewelry #wearableartjewelry #fantasyjewelry

I still honestly have not processed this. I found out late last night from an email to the Hampden Merchants that Become Spellbound was nominated for Best of Baltimore 2026 in the jewelry category by Baltimore Magazine and it feels surreal seeing this strange beautiful world I’ve built recognized like this. Every piece you’ve ever seen from me was made by hand in my Baltimore studio. The crystals, fossils, sculptural work, styling, photography, packing orders, website, late nights, all of it. This business grew because people connected with the work and kept sharing it. That means everything to me. Voting is open now through May 20 and you can vote once daily if you’d like to support Become Spellbound. The voting link is in my bio. Thank you for being part of this world with me. becomespellbound.com to shop @become_spellbound to follow! With a grateful and open heart, Xo, Kari PS. Don’t forget MEGALODON RELICS goes live FRIDAY! #BaltimoreArtist #bestofbaltimore #BaltimoreSmallBusiness #baltimoremagazine #bestofbaltimore2026

I genuinely cannot explain what happens to crystal people at gem shows. One minute you’re looking at minerals like a normal adult. The next minute your Reiki teacher is handing you a styrofoam plate overflowing with Herkimer diamonds and calling it dinner. Naturally I responded with:“YUMMMM.” Then I decided to return the favor by buying HIM dinner: a giant fossilized fish approximately the size of a medieval weapon. Which he immediately started fake eating in the middle of the gem show. No thoughts. Just minerals. People think gem shows are elegant collector events. In reality they’re just giant convention centers full of crystal people losing all sense of composure around shiny ancient objects. Meanwhile I’m over here getting inspired by every glowing stone, fossil specimen, Herkimer diamond, and impossible red flecked chrysocolla stone for future jewelry designs. I’m a Baltimore-based jewelry artist creating bold fantasy-inspired crystal jewelry and fossil talismans influenced by the natural world, ancient relics, sci-fi, and cinematic fantasy aesthetics. Everything is handmade and infused with intention in Baltimore, MD. Follow @become_spellbound for more gem show chaos, giant fossils, magical jewelry, crystal goblin behavior, and whatever this entire lifestyle has become. And follow @crystalswithnereus for Reiki, sound baths, crystal wisdom, and apparently a very balanced mineral-based diet. MEGALODON RELICS drops this Friday 5.15 Subscribe for early access! MEGALODON RELICS
Launching May 15 This collection began with ancient oceans. Real fossil megalodon teeth. Fossil coral I personally found along the shores of Calvert Cliffs, Maryland. Sea-worn textures. Lagoon-toned gemstones. Moonstone, chrysocolla, turquoise, moss agate, opalescent quartz, lepidolite, chrysoprase, abalone, and oceanic talismans layered on flowing recycled silks in shifting sea-glass hues. Some pieces feel ancient and predatory.
Others feel softer, like relics carried ashore from another world. Together they became MEGALODON RELICS, a collection of handmade statement jewelry and fossil talismans inspired by ancient oceans, fantasy worlds, sci-fi aesthetics, and the strange beauty of natural history. This release includes:
megalodon tooth jewelry, fossil jewelry, crystal talismans, siren necklaces, ocean-inspired statement jewelry, moonstone necklaces, chrysocolla jewelry, turquoise talismans, fossil coral pieces, opalescent quartz pendants, moss agate jewelry, abalone statement necklaces, and layered gemstone talismans designed to feel cinematic, powerful, and deeply personal. I’m a Baltimore-based jewelry artist creating bold crystal and fossil jewelry for people drawn to self-expression, empowerment, fantasy aesthetics, and energetic resonance. Every piece is handmade and infused with intention in Baltimore, MD. Instagram subscribers will receive early access to the collection before the public launch. Follow @become_spellbound and visit BecomeSpellbound.com to enter the world of MEGALODON RELICS. Xo, Kari #megalodon #fossiljewelry #crystaltalisman #statementjewelry #wearableart

This weekend I brought Coco with me to work at VA Renaissance Festival with the Free Spirit Parrot Sanctuary. Made so much progress over the last 6 months in bonding & training with him, and he did great! People enjoyed meeting him, and hearing him sing some beach boys songs (his favorite) 🩵 🧜‍♀️ He celebrates turning 46 this year! 🦜 Also wearing my favorite megalodon pendant by the amazing @become_spellbound which was a huge hit too. 🦈 #blueandgoldmacaw #rescueparrot #macaw

Another completely normal and grounded day at the NJ/NY Gem Show with my friend and Reiki teacher @crystalswithnereus . Just two spiritually evolving adults: -hiding behind giant snowflake obsidian spheres -emotionally transfixed by rainbow opals floating in water -staring into aquamarine chunks that cost nearly half my mortgage -making deeply unintelligent jokes near priceless mineral specimens -and wandering through aisles of ancient shark teeth, fossils, crystals, meteorites, and mysterious little objects no one can fully explain At one point Nereus picked up a golden apatite specimen and we both just started laughing for absolutely no reason, which honestly feels like the true gem show experience. There was also:a nearly perfect serrated megalodon tooth, an incredible fossil lizard, magical little included lodolite spheres, hiddenite that looked radioactive in the best way, and a gong situation that fully dissolved whatever was left of our composure. Meanwhile I’m over here finding chrysocolla crystals that perfectly match one of the necklaces I made like the universe is running side quests specifically for crystal people. People think gem shows are quiet. But actually they’re like entering a temporary alternate dimension where everyone collectively agrees that rocks are the most exciting thing on earth. I’m a Baltimore-based jewelry artist creating fantasy-inspired crystal jewelry and fossil talismans for people drawn to bold self-expression, symbolism, and the strange beauty of the natural world. Follow me here @become_spellbound for more gem show chaos, giant crystals, ancient fossils, magical jewelry, and whatever this lifestyle has become. And go follow @crystalswithnereus for Reiki, sound baths, crystal wisdom, and occasional gong-related nonsense. Some materials carry a presence the moment you touch them. Megalodon teeth are like that. Ancient and heavy. Unearthed from another era of the world entirely, yet still holding the kind of energy that makes you stop and stare. I’ve been quietly building this new collection for months, transforming real fossil megalodon teeth into sculptural talismans layered with crystals, texture, and intention. These are NOT replicas. Artifacts reimagined into something cinematic, powerful, and deeply personal. MEGALODON RELICSLaunching May 15.
