My inspiration for these looks came from wanting to successfully do bold eye looks that wouldn't compete or clash with the bright and colorful outfits and hair pieces we had going on.
I was inspired by drag queens and a little bit of anime 😆 I wanted it to lean into alien beauty queen territory, and I couldn't be happier with how all of these looks came out. Especially the one I did on @ji.imii (first and second photos). She was the last look of the day and I had no plan. I was tired and a little frazzled at that point. I knew I was inspired by the colors in the hair, so I just turned off my brain and let my hand guide me. I was thinking of butterflies once I added that blue to the centre of the eye, and when I saw it with the orange, I knew I figured it out.
That's what I love about being an artist. Sometimes we have no real direction and the best thing to do is just give in to the tiniest inspiration and let it guide you.
