In the work of sculptor Alf Lechner (1925–2017), material steps out of its seemingly passive role to become an active participant in the artistic process. The new monograph Alf Lechner: Material als Akteur (Material as Agent) by Dominik Bais, opens up a production-aesthetic perspective on Lechner’s work, shedding light on the infrastructural and economic conditions of art production that are often overlooked. Featuring previously unpublished photographs, notes, and documents, and with a design that emphasises the material dimension of the content, this book offers fresh insights into the artist and the role of matter in artistic production.

One of my favorite pages from the magazine are the result of exploring the words of @blumenleere , together with @jaybirdjane . To complement the texts, came an abstract black and white drawing, which we transformed into a fluid chrome sculpture floating out into space, representing infinity.

I am currently working on my first typeface called Katalogschrift. Last semester at @muensterschoolofdesign I finished the regular cut with basic glyph coverage and created this type specimen with an overview of all the glyphs.

Last semester I worked on the first issue of kioskmagazin together with my friends. I'm quite pleased with the result. we exhibited the magazine at @indiemags – a publishing festival for indipendent magazines in Hamburg, and are now completely sold out with a print run of 250.

The sculpture projects in Münster have taken place every 10 years since the first exhibition in 1977. On the poster you can see excerpts from two sculptures that were purchased by the city of Münster.
The roughly gridded image is the "Giant Pool Balls" sculpture by Claes Oldenburg. It is located at the Aaseeterrassen on the northern shore of the Aasee.
The finely gridded picture shows the "Knotenkunst am Bahnhof" by Tobias Rehberger, who also took part in the sculpture projects in 1977.
