Our biggest supporters are not necessarily those with the biggest wallets. Here are 15 non-monetary ways you can have a direct impact on our success in 2026! P.S. engaging with this post and resharing is just one of 14 ways âď¸
The Devising Jam Spring 2026 is in full swing! Weâre so excited to be back with another 5 week offering of low stakes collaborative creation and devising practice!
Each week our participants work in different groups to devise a mini theater piece in 40-50 min based on a new prompt. We encourage each group to spend time making specific choices about theatrical design elements including:
Lighting design
Costume design
Set design
Audience orientation
Scale
At the end of the night we share the pieces weâve made and debrief!

A few moments from last nightâs Eat the Patriarchy party at @bechdelproject . Iâm so thrilled to be one of Bechdel Projectâs resident artists this spring and to call this space one of my creative homes. The night was full of fantastic performances, community art projects, and great food.
Fun story: Each time I bring a new artist to Bechdel Project, thereâs always a moment where we are walking down the street saying to each other, âoh my god - that space is a dream. Itâs the dream. Can you believe that exists? Living the dream⌠,â for an entire block. Always. Never fails.

The Apartheid Free Zone (AFZ) campaign is a form of nonviolent action aimed to end complicity with apartheid Israel. In this interview, Theater Workers for a Ceasefire joins representatives of the first three AFZs theatre organizations to discuss the role of theatre in the international struggle for peace and justice. â

In 2025, three theatre and performing arts organizations in the United States became the first in our industry to officially be designated Apartheid Free Zones (AFZs): Theatre of the Oppressed NYC, Bechdel Project, and Festival of Latin American Contemporary Choreographers (FLACC).
The AFZ campaign is inspired by the South African anti-apartheid struggle and the international solidarity movement that emerged in support of it. Like the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, the AFZ campaign is a form of nonviolent action aimed to end all forms of complicity with apartheid Israel to compel it to comply with international law.
TW4C sat down with Sulu LeoNimm, executive director at Theatre of the Oppressed NYC; Maria Aparo, co-creative director at Bechdel Project; and Liz Duran Boubion, artistic director of FLACC. We talked about what motivates their action in solidarity with the Palestinian people and what role they see the American theatre industry playing in international struggles for peace and justice.
