January feels like the calm before the storm. Slow nourishing moments, taking life in as we set intentions and cast predictions for the year ahead. The darkness of the world makes it feel wrong to highlight any of the good right now but I think we all need it. Or at least I know I do. In some ways it feels like an act of rebellion to not totally let the world break your heart again and again. To not be completely swallowed by hopelessness.
