Dream client alert 🚨This was the largest of the holiday gift guide stop-motion layouts I made for @disneysprings / @waltdisneyworld / @disneyyellowshoes . Swipe for some messy behind-the-scenes snippets, including the slipper-and-socks process I employed to keep the background paper from getting dirty and tired me at 2 AM trying to finish the shoot. #stopmotion #stopmolovers #stopmotionanimation #disneysprings #shopdisney #flatlay

I spent over an hour in my backyard making drawing after drawing of birdsong-inspired art. I definitely recommend trying it out (with whatever medium you’d like). If you have kids, I think they’d like it too—mine did. 8 tips for the best experience making birdsong-inspired art: 1. Think of it as a meditation exercise (this helps you get into the right mindset) 2. Close your eyes for a moment to focus on the sound 3. Choose a few colors to use that you feel fit the mood of the sound 4. Keep your wrist loose and let the sound inspire your drawing movements 5. Try to keep your mind clear—feel in your body rather than thinking in your head 6. It helps to ground yourself in the moment and in your body by focusing on how your breath feels, the sound that’s in your ears, and how the pastel feels in your fingers 7. If a truck drives past or another disruptive sound occurs, either pause and wait for it to pass before resuming or incorporate the new sound into your art 8. Don’t worry about how the drawing will turn out, this exercise is about the process rather than the outcome If you allow it to, this can be a healing and joyful experience. I’d like to make this a daily practice during the warmer months. Let me know if you try it! #processart #meditativeart #birdsong #natureinspiredart

New stop-motion video for @disneyland plus behind-the-scenes from earlier this summer. The shoot itself took about 30 hours and 200 frames. It was a pleasure making this for @disneyyellowshoes team, Samuel, Dixon, and Caleb! Some additional timing editing and text pop-up additions were done by Yellow Shoes editor. #stopmotion #pixarpalaround #disneyland #celebratesoulfully #stopmotionanimation #foodlettering #foodtype

Dump from my stop-motion shoot at Disney Yellow Shoes in Florida. Swipe to find the best sports and hype people, producer Nicole and gaffer Leon, who stuck it out with me until we wrapped at 12 AM on a Tuesday night.

Yay, my stop-mo video for @disneycruiseline is out now! I flew to Orlando in March to animate and shoot these magnets on a real cruise ship door at @disneyyellowshoes for a Mother’s Day video. It was a long shoot day, but it was so fun, and I’m really happy with how it all turned out. Every detail was worth it, and I loved bringing the creative team’s concept to life. #stopmotion #disneycruiseline Agency: @disneyyellowshoes Producer: @nicolekkraemer Art director: David Brotherton Copywriter: Frankie Ainsworth Illustrator: David Torres Prop master: Bob Hubbard Gaffer: Leon Harvey
