Meet Tayla 🤍
Tayla was diagnosed in August 2023 and has undergone six surgeries since then. Each time, parts of her head were shaved, something that, on its own, was already confronting.
In March 2024, she went through 33 sessions of radiation, losing a section of her hair. At the time, it didn’t feel small but she was able to cover it with the top layers, and on most days, still feel like herself (as long as there wasn’t a gust of wind).
Unfortunately, that round of radiation wasn’t successful. Since then, Tayla has had more surgeries and is now undergoing another 35 sessions. With the tumour spreading lower, she was warned she’d lose more hair but it’s been far more than she expected.
“Getting through treatment every day is already hard, but looking in the mirror and brushing your hair with chunks coming out as a young woman is honestly really heartbreaking.”
For the past few months, Tayla hasn’t felt like herself. She’s been wearing a cap most days not just for comfort, but to cope with the changes.
Because while cancer is already incredibly hard, the impact it has on how you see yourself hits differently.
“I’m just really looking forward to feeling like myself again… being able to go out to dinner and feel cute and confident again.”
We’ve got you, Tayla , can’t wait to see you in your wig 🤍

A huge thank you to @tianavassallo for bringing the Momentum workshops to life, and to @alexmiedzinski , @shaniiaa_raee and @amira.mollenhauer for giving their time and energy so generously.
To @colabquarters and @danceforce — thank you for backing this and sponsoring
And to all the dancers who bought tickets and showed up - thankyou!!
Together, the dance community raised thousands of dollars for CEARE, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
We’ve officially locked in our first recipient… and this is just the beginning <3
if you’re new here, welcome :)
The changes cancer has brought to my body, face and lifestyle has caused some serious hits to my self esteem.
There is already so much to deal with within a diagnosis as a young woman, and even something small like looking in the mirror and recognising yourself or a glimmer of YOU can mean more than anyone realises.
That’s why CEARE was made. Not out of thin air, not in partnership with someone else - but because I’ve stood looking at myself in the mirror and grieved
when I got my wig, it was the first time in months I said “wow I don’t look like a cancer patient” and unfortunately whilst in treatment life can start to feel like that.
A hair solution isn’t seen as a necessity , but as someone who’s in it with you, it absolutely feels like one.
I’d love to gift hair back to as many women in Australia as possible. Whether that’s a wig, a topper or a bonded solution.

Introducing CEARE by @alea_osheaa 🤍
Helping those around me has always been important to me.
This is the start — more to come, but for now..
Currently raising funds to help women access high-quality wigs from @tammylobatowigs because feeling like you shouldn’t be a luxury.
Lots of love
