Staying away from the fury of the world is sometimes paved with obstacles. A curious paradox, as the universe conceals some magnificent ones, proof of its intrinsically mysterious nature. A source of mystery equally fundamental to ELVIN ROAD’s musical tableaux.
As with every opus, we cut ourselves off from the world to better reconnect with it. Nevertheless, solitude remains an undeniable raw material, if not a cardinal virtue for inspiration. With its tribal and intimist tones, the smooth CRIMINAL DISTANCE takes the concept a step further with the consequences of confinement on the imagination from one end of the planetary crust to the other, becoming murkier, elusive, unclassifiable: Unrated.
