Thrilled to be part of @qagoma Fridays starting this Friday and honoured to be collaborating with my good mate Dom from @beatsofnonation on our vinyl listening bar pop-up in the Parkview Room.
We’re channelling the listening bar and DIY audio culture of Japan, and it’s been a blast restoring a full vintage sound system, all circa 1970s gear, topped off with a set of USA-made Altec horn-loaded speakers.
Customised Altec speakers are a staple of Japan’s legendary listening bars, so this system is very much the real deal.
Every Friday night for 9 weeks, some of Brisbane’s finest record selectors will be bringing a different sound to the room. @roosymcroos and I will be back-to-back closing out the series on June 26th, can’t wait wuhoo!

It’s fair to say we’re on a bit of an Aussie hype right now … and it’s easy to see why when you listen to what’s bubbling up from down under.
We just made a @das_druid Australia-only split 12” for record store day in collaboration with the legends at @beatsofnonation !
Hand stamped and hand numbered in a psychedelic violet swirl , featuring two tracks never committed to vinyl and 2 never ever heard before- one of those being an acid house remix by man of the moment @wallacejimmygs .
Available tomorrow in store from all the shops across Australia listed in slide 2 & 3.
Should we have any left maybe Bradley will bring a few back to Peckham - but don’t hold your breath!
