Our first gathering of the year is a reboot of one of our most popular meet-ups: the Make Anything Club! Join us for FREE TODAY Jan 25th at 11am MT to see what all the fuss is about. We’re still centered on Beatrice and sewing, but this one’s all about hanging out: socializing, sharing what you’re making (yes — anything!), and basking in the brilliance of this community. Need help on a project? Our resident fitting guru and longtime friend @gabriellejbrown will be there to offer fit advice — and chances are someone else will happily jump in if your question turns into something about power tools 😉 See you there!!

COURSE GIVEAWAY! When we heard that one of our very favorite fitting instructors, Alexandra Morgan of @inhousepatterns , created the perfect class for Beatrice owners to get the most out of forms, we were over the moon! It’s called the Art of Balance and it’s the first course of its kind made just for us: custom dress form users. In her online course, Alexandra teaches a step-by-step, professional approach to establishing and putting into practice key fitting reference points and balance lines on your Beatrice. I’ve been using a similar method for years and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s definitely a game changer! ⚡️ Ready to dive in? Perfect. We’re giving away 3 course seats to Art of Balance FOR FREE! To enter our giveaway: 1️⃣ Follow us @beatriceforms 2️⃣ Make a comment here telling us what you LOVE MOST about your Beatrice Form (or future Beatrice) and... 3️⃣ Tag a friend in your comment The giveaway ends on April 4th. Good luck!

When I was accepted to the @beatriceforms collaborator program last year, I knew I wanted a form that would help me design thoughtfully for larger sizes! . It is nearly impossible to find a dress form in a US size 38-40, which equates to about a 70” hip circumference. @beatriceforms makes custom dress forms from body scans (which you can do with your phone), and they can even make 1/2 scale forms, so I was delighted when they said this project was within their capacity and they wanted to help! . I found a willing scan model in my desired size, and we set up a date to do the scan from my phone in my studio. I submitted the files via the Beatrice app (which walks you through exactly what to do and how to do it). I got to approve the 3D model digitally, and then they crafted this superb form! . I’m new to working with 1/2 scale forms, but I’m excited to try it out. Some benefits are that you use less material in the draping process, and you can work sitting down with the dress form on the table in front of you. Once you have your pattern, you can increase it by 200% to fit an actual human. This would also be great for folks working in smaller studio spaces who don’t have space to store something the size of an actual human body. . Thank you @beatriceforms for taking on this project, and for proving that it’s perfectly possible to make a dress form in a larger size. . If you’re interested in commissioning a custom dress form of your own (based on your own body or someone else’s), I’ve posted a l1nk in my b10!

We made Adam Savage two 3D scan based heads for his Beatrice! With and without hair (cuz you never know what you’ll need, right??) While he has already tried out several 3D printed plastic “Adam” shaped heads, they just weren’t as useful as they could be. So he asked us to make a pinnable, CNC milled foam based head from a 3D scan to attach to his Beatrice Form, creating the ultimate canvas for his cosplay creations. To see our custom heads, you’ll def want to watch Adam’s head unboxing video on his @testedcom YouTube Channel. We also made a behind-the-scenes “how we made it” and reaction video, that’s good for a laugh too :) All of those video links are in our bio - check them out!! By the way, we’re always open to creating custom projects for you - like these head forms - mounted in any way you like. So don’t hesitate to contact us with your one-of-a-kind ideas 💡 #customdressform #3Dscandressform #custommannequin #custommannequinhead

She's my twin, but she doesn't mind if I'm not perfect every day. 🌞 Having a size-accurate dress form means I can design, fit, and create without relying on my body to always be the model—because real bodies fluctuate, and that's okay. 💕👯🏽‍♀️ 🌟 ask me anything about the @beatriceforms process 🌟 comment SCAN for $50 your own scan + form! 🌟 follow to learn how to drape clothes with me! #fitmodel #dressform #sewing #tallstyle #draping

What’s the hardest part of creating a body scan? Holding still when your ADHD and your joint pain are winning! 😂 This body scan with @beatriceforms is the first step of making a tool that will totally transform my sewing in 2025.
