Right now, at least 1.25 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder, and millions more who support them feel the impact too. Eating disorders can be deeply isolating, but connecting with others who understand, or who share your interests and values, can be life-changing. And it doesn’t matter whether your community is one person or many, even a single meaningful connection can bring hope, strength, and the reminder that #YouAreNotAlone Filmed & created by @meantimestudio_ #EatingDisordersAwarenessWeek #BeatCommunity #EDAW2026

Eating disorders are not about vanity or wanting to look a certain way. They are a mental health condition 👏👏👏 Lewis, one of our content creators, shares what he wishes people knew about eating disorders - what do you think people don’t ‘get’ about them?

“Your body is not a reflection of your mental state.” It’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, and we want to spread the word that you can’t spot an eating disorder - and that means you can’t base how well someone is based off of how they look. But, there are signs to look out for, based on people’s behaviours instead. Amber, one of our content creators, shares how commenting on people’s bodies can actually be harmful for those with eating disorders - and suggests what you could talk about instead 👏👏 What do you want people to know about eating disorders? #MHAW #MentalHealthAction #MHAW2026

Our Fundraiser of the Month is... Eve 🪂 In April, Eve flew through the air, taking on a skydive 'down under' to fundraise for Beat 🦘 Eve smashed through her fundraising target, and we couldn't be more proud! On why she decided to take to the skies, Eve said that back in 2015, her dad did a skydive for the children's hospital that took care of her while she was in eating disorder treatment. Now she's recovered, Eve said it feels only fair to do one too! If you're feeling inspired by Eve's skydive challenge, why not sign up for one yourself?! Head to our website to find the dates and locations that work for you 👉
