You can read all the motivational quotes you want but the reality is people don't like the Gi because it's hard and they don't have the resilience to work through it. Once you have an understanding of it then it becomes Jiu Jitsu not Gi or NoGi.
I am of the understanding that Gi will allow you better fundamentals and an ability to learn far better techniques when there is a Gi involved then when there is not. NoGi is explosive and often has long scrambles allowing for both opportunity and freedom of movement but this doesn't make you Jiu Jitsu better.
Put on the Gi and learn the game. Be a student and become good at BJJ for what it really has to offer đĽ
