We both got older. We both got fatter. We both went gray. I started wearing glasses, and you went blind. You lost your sight,
but what you did not lose was your feistiness, your handsomeness and your adorable way of winning people over.
You had such reservations when you would first meet someone because you were abused when you were very young. I remember when I first brought you home, every time I or anybody would approach or reach for you, you would tremble and just start peeing because you were terrified.
You had never been shown love. We made sure that you had a safe home and loving people around you. I could feel how safe you felt with me. You gave me 13 amazing years, my little Becker, and I gave you the best that I had to give. I wish I could continue to give you more, but fuck, your time has suddenly come, and it’s time for us to say goodbye.
Anybody who knows me knows how much I love dogs. They give you unconditional love and are just so excited and happy for you to give them some attention. I will miss my little Becker Becker.
