Beardy Folk Festival is the perfect weekend for folk of all ages! We've got loads of fun family activities throughout the weekend 🤩 👉 JITTERBUG CIRCUS 🎪 @jitterbugcircus Once again, they'll be keeping little ones (and bigger ones) entertained throughout the weekend. There's the 'Silly Circus Show' plus workshops with hoola hoop, poi and tight wire, a limbo contest, balloon modelling, giant bubbles, clown bike sessions and parachute games. They'll also be running craft activities and a giant summer solstice procession through the festival arena and into the walled garden. 👉 MARK FRASER STORYTELLER 📖 @markfraserstoryteller Mark uses puppets, props and costumes to present amazing stories from his beautiful Lotus Belle tent. It's a great space with rugs, cushions and decorations, perfect for listening to tales of witches, wizards, dragons, fairies, heroes, villains, spookiness and silliness! At sunset a different character appears with his tombstone. Jacob Cracker (decd), a teller of dark, slightly spooky tales, a favourite with all ages. Mark also runs workshops, whereby the children contribute ideas and plots. 👉 MAYPOLE DANCING 👫 At midday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Grab a colourful ribbon and join us for some traditional dances around the Maypole. The end result is a beautiful tree that symbolises the colours of summer.
