in other words, I'm practicing HOPE without always actually feeling it. I am who I am. I can't be anyone else. definitely not for your comfort. or your resources. or your respect. conditional respect. some images from recent life. conversations. always creating. sometimes posting. ✌🏽🤟🏽🙏🏽🖤🌿 #GRATITUDE

I find myself in 'organizer', 'curator' roles even though I vehemently don't claim either of those titles. I instead say, I like sharing opportunities. Yes, I am weird 😅. I've been participating in JPOS since 2024. S/o to Girly Pop (@pheebzcpa @anandatoulon ) for coming thru that first year and live painting. 2nd year (2025) AMAR MARKET was born. S/o to the creatives/makers/orgs for joining me @colsart @sankofa.anacaona.botanicals @thehoodseamstress @justplantandgrow & Girly Pop. This year I would love to have more participation, more celebration! If you're interested please hit me up. Thank you 🙏🏽🖤🌿 #theHaramiArtist Slide 1: Calling Women, Non-Binary, Queer visual artists to showcase at 2026 Jamaica Plain Open Studios (JPOS). Slide 2:  Theme: Life, Radical Hope for now & beyond this moment. Share a story, the vision, your hope.  Slide 3:  Haymarket People's Fund, a local organization, has offered space and hosted me for JPOS for the last couple of years and I've been honored to share this opportunity with others. Slide 4:  2026 will be the third year. I would love to have you join me, showcase your creations, share your hopes and tell your story. Slice 5:  JPOS Dates: 9/27 - 9/28 If you're interested in participating/planning please contact me.  DM on IG or email [email protected] In the case we aren't connected on social please indicate how you found out about this opportunity as well as your IG handle in the email.  Slide 6: I'm excited for the possibilities! I hope you join me in creating this world. I look forward to it.  Love Love + Peace  #Gratitude

UPDATED CAPTION: Oh my! Apologies for any confusion with my first caption. To clarify, my soul dog ChypChyp passed away a while ago. The dog pictured here is Euro. He is still very much alive. Euro is 14 yrs old and came into my life unexpectedly after ChypChyp passed. He has helped heal my heart. I am deeply grateful for him. . No two loves are the same. One love cannot replace the other. Each is unique. Each gives you a lifetime... theirs and/or yours. This one has a special spot in my heart right next to my soul dog, ChypChyp (RIP). In whatever form, may love and you find each other every day. 🖤🤎🧡💚💛💜

AMAR MARKET Meet the vendors - ✨ASHEARTS @_ashearts_ 🌬️ They will be offering handmade functional pottery, and unique trinket dishes. "My name is Ace Harrill, I am an experimental potter whose work addresses themes of community responsibility and collective care. Working with functional ware, I invite viewers to participate in conversation and exchange, emphasizing the tactile and communal aspects of creating and using dishes. I'm fascinated by the multiple meanings of common tools, and use simplistic everyday objects in my work to interrogate emotionally complex subjects. I want folks to walk away from my work feeling a little more connected to their community, and themselves. And hopefully, with a mug in hand!" - https://readymag.website/aharrill/ceramics/ Ace will be with us on Sunday, December 21st. Come support and get a beautiful piece of pottery! ✨ AMAR MARKET: Winter Solstice Edition 2025 Sat Dec 20th - Sun Dec 21st, 12 PM - 6 PM Haymarket People's Fund, 42 Seaverns Ave, Jamaica Plain  SAVE THE DATE!  LET YOUR PEOPLE KNOW!  COME THRU!  . . . #SupportSmallBusiness #SupportHandmade #Community
