What a nice ride connecting with this lovely Parisian visiting Miami during #artbaselmiami #artbasel2025 #miamiartweek #miamiartweek2025 . We had the French connection “bien sûr” and became instant friends. I also learned that her talent is acting, making us both part of a creative world. Like most of us feel after the very busy week of Art Basel/ Miami Art Week she was in need of a casual, relaxing evening, just meeting up with a friend. The moment grew more interesting as I also got to meet her friend Daniel, a true gentleman who came out to the front of the hotel to greet her. Turns out he is a very talented photographer who was exhibiting during the art fair, at #scopemiami no less, one of my favorite satellites that I go to every year. His work is inspiring and beautiful, as is his life story as an Afghan having fled his country during the war. T’was a truly serendipitous moment meeting them both during one ride! It’s times like these that make my rideshare driving experiences even more worthwhile!.

One day as I was just starting my shift I got passenger “Jeffery” to pick up on Biscayne Blvd. Much to my surprise when I arrived at the pick up point it was my friend Jeffery Salter, a very familiar face as I have assisted him for many years on numerous of his shoots, and still presently. @jefferysalter is a long time professional photographer who has dedicated his craft to wonderful portraits and photojournalism , check out his work! Needless to say we were both surprised to find each other this way, but I scooped him up and got him home safely. 😃 was a nice drive! 12/21/23.

Hi! I’m catching up here with my portrait project, rewind to Dec 2023 when I drove this lovely, talented lady to the airport although her flight was soon to leave..without her on it. She was trying her best to make it but alas…she was fortunate enough to have a local friend who could help her stay another day, as it was December after all and hotels were very booked up or too much $ ! We started talking and I found out she is a teacher in the Boston area, a sculptor, a metalsmith. She reminded me of my days spent in fine art school (#HAS) up North, in CT, (U. Of Hartford) not far from Boston, and it brought me back. Was nice to have an artist in my car, especially with that smile, thanks for the good vibes! 😎 Hope you got your flight the next day!

This lovely and brave couple I met as they were getting their payment in order to finalize the lease of their new apartment. Brave because not only were they just starting their new life together in a new city, entering the unknown, but moreover because they had to leave their country of Ukraine 🇺🇦 behind, escaping the war and saving their lives, leaving behind all that they know, love, and have endured and lost. Their first stop had been Thailand but decided to push on and had just arrived in Miami. Hoping they are finding their sunshine ☀️ here, and that the Magic City offers them much peace. All my best wishes to you Kate and Vlad, thanks for sharing your story and your smiles with me.

Welcome to my new page! A year ago I drove this couple going to enjoy their Halloween out dancing. This couple inspired me to embark on a portrait series I thought could be interesting, passengers who bring me their stories in conversation, their originality in their look, and with whom I share a good connection. Of course I was inspired by this first couple on Halloween of last year 2023 with their fun costumes, and their sweet and bubbly personalities. What better time to start posting a year later in celebration of Halloween 2024! Just wish I had taken their information, at least to share the picture with them!
