Beagle โ real name Ryan Ewing โ is one of the most influential skate filmers of all time. Recognizable by his afro and green and yellow Sony Vx1000, Beagle developed a distinct eye for creative street skating, as a switch-crookaholic who always makes the most of spots most people wouldnโt think to skate.
He filmed much of the defining era of Baker, Shake Junt, and Deathwish Skateboards, documenting skaters like Andrew Reynolds, Neen Williams, Dustin Dollin, Jim Greco, Erik Ellington, Antwuan Dixon, and Bryan Herman. Both Beagle and his dog Murdy appeared in full parts, something rarely seen in skate videos.
His DJ background and heavy influence from Three 6 Mafia helped shape the Houston-inspired sound and attitude of Shake Junt videos. Much of this era was shot on his green-and-yellow Shake Junt Sony VX1000, a camera now closely tied to that period of skateboarding history.
