Kylie V is a bona fide icon, as you all know. Stylistically, they contain multitudes; sometimes it’s a country-inflected ballad, sometimes it’s theatrical pop, at all times it’s hooky as heck. Watch Kylie with their band and you’re going to see a Showwww, babes.
Yawn is a singular gem in Vancouver. An electro-dream-pop artist who works to realize her vision musically, lyrically, visually, and theatrically. Recently her shows have been given even more power by a full band. I personally can’t wait to see it.
Be Afraid are straight to the jugular power pop, all tasty riffs and sugary vocals. Like every band in this line up they have a strong visual identity. I’ll never forget the custom “spooky” merch they made for their first release.
