Thankfully I was able to process these feelings of missed connection by channeling them into song. Hi guys, Chris here - excited to give y’all some major updates. First off, I’ve missed you guys. We (Kevin, Charlie, and I) have been taking some time off from the band to explore other creative outlets and interests. We’ve had a good long think about what we all want to do individually and what we want the band to be going forward. Here’s what we’re gonna do. We wanna operate Sure Sure in a new way and open it up to function both as a band that plays the songs you know and love, and also to launch new musical projects by Kevin Charlie or myself. This will enable all of us to explore new creative directions while still keeping y’all in the loop and making it easy for you to hear our new music. With that, I’m stoked to share that I will continue to make Sure Sure music, and I can’t wait to sing Sure Sure tunes with you all again soon. This marks our return to the Gram and I will do my best to fill Kevin’s large shoes in managing the Sure Sure insta. I will also be launching a solo project (@beachykeys ) with support from Sure Sure. Charlie and Kevin are leaving Sure Sure to pursue other creative projects - one of these projects, Outside Air (@outsideairmusic ), will release its first album via Sure Sure in the next year. It has been an honor to work with these incredibly talented dudes. I’ve been making Sure Sure music with these guys for 7+ years, and I’ve been been in bands with Charlie since college. And while this news is bittersweet, this is a much needed change for us to enable everyone to explore new creative directions and continue to follow our respective muses. Please make sure to follow Charlie and Kevin’s new project (@outsideairmusic ), and stay tuned as Kevin and Charlie will be posting here in the coming days to get the new project going. Their first single comes out on May 31 via Sure Sure. Finally, I just wanna say how grateful I am (we all are) for the opportunity to make music and share it with you all. Thank you for supporting us, listening to Sure Sure, and letting us cook. And thank you for your patience and giving us time to figure things out. Looking forward to this new chapter <3 Love you all,
