Fire Station 9 has officially opened in South Hillsboro! The ribbon cutting was earlier this week with the open house today. Hundreds of community members came out to tour and learn about the new station. Thanks to our economic development efforts, this station was built without increasing taxes for Hillsboro community members. @hillsborofire Station 9 is ready to serve!

As February and Black History Month come to a close, I have been thinking about this quote from the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. During these challenging times, it has been a reminder to lead with light and love.
I was excited to speak at the launch of Hillsboro’s newest sports addition, the Cascade! The @ausl_cascade is a professional women’s softball team and part of the AUSL. Hillsboro is now home to even more elite women athletes thereby solidifying us as the epicenter of women’s sports.
Mayor @beach.pace and I did some shopping and had a great visit with local business owners at Paisano’s Plaza in Hillsboro. The Trump administration’s horrific mass deportation policies have resulted in fewer shoppers, so please stop by if you can! Also my Mangonada was delicious!
