Women’s sports is officially entering its renaissance era. ✨With record-breaking viewership, major brand partnerships, and historic milestones that highlight the incredible progress being made. ⁠ ⁠ This year, the NCAA women’s basketball tournament had more viewers than the men’s tournament, and the X Games featured women’s Vert Best Trick and Women’s BMX Park for the first time. Meanwhile, Disney is releasing a miniseries on tennis icon Serena Williams, and the Olympic Games Paris 2024 will have a 50-50 gender split between athletes for the first time in Olympic history.⁠ ⁠ Despite these achievements, women’s sports still face significant inequities compared to men’s sports. While women’s sports are wildly profitable when properly invested in, they still struggle to receive the same level of support and recognition.
