âI wanna be a Rødstrømpe too, just like youâ
Hosted a collective woodcut printing workshop, as a part of my master project. Re-printing a feminist archive.
This is a sneak peak of the outcome and documentation.
âIn my masterâs project, Iâm exploring a connection with my heritage and my grandmother through shared beliefs. My grandmother (my momâs mom) was a feminist activist in the 1970s and â80s. She was part of a Danish womenâs movement called RødstrømpebevĂŚgelsen (The Red Stocking Movement). Growing up, I didnât think to ask her about her activism. As an adult, Iâve become more curious about her time as a feminist activist and have come to see her as a role model because of the values we share.â¨Sadly, this curiosity only emerged after her passing, so I never got the chance to ask her the the questions I have. Besides the beliefs Iâve inherited, one of the few physical objects I have of hers is a wooden drawer. It has been passed down through generations of women in my family, from my great-grandmother, to my grandmother, to my mother, then to my sister, and finally to me. Wood is a solid material that stands the test of time, which is why wooden objects are often preserved through generations.ââ¨â¨Thank you to the loveliest friends who joined the workshop!!! @emeseveszely@valdemarjuul@what_the_helle@hanaxkiani@karindevoss@jonas_borinski@nacasejepavla@evacosyns@isis_copal@vero_denecker@lottexbaelen
