A crisp summer day at our Three Pillars project, where the stone 'pillars' support the large shed roof. Floor to ceiling windows offer a peek into the kitchen on your way to the main front entry. Photo by @tuckf

A crisp starry night this winter at our Mayfly Wood project. This view from the backyard shows the original log structure set back with the new addition at the foreground. Modern reinterpretations of vernacular details - like maintaining the dimension of the exterior logs - enable the two parts of the home to flow together and act as one. Timelapse by @ryanjonsheets

At our River View project, the interior spaces continue a theme of authentic and natural materials in a simple and non-precious palette. This approach honors the philosophy of the vernacular western structures consisting of rustic and contextually relevant materials. While moving through interior spaces the focal point is always external to the mountains, woods, and river. Rendering by @bdsarchitects

A lush summer day at our Cottonwood project, surrounded by its namesake trees and looked over by the Tetons in the distance. The living space spills out onto a lawn that's perfect for recreation. Cross the lawn to find the fire pit for a cozy evening hangout spot. Photo by @gabeborder

We love the tranquil kitchen at our Mayfly Wood project, where this zone in the house used to be chopped up into very separate spaces. Now, the kitchen, dining, stair and den all flow together thanks to some new hidden structural members that allowed us to open up all the walls. Peeking through the double doors of the dining area you can just see the glass bridge to the new-build addition. Photo by @gabeborder

A new perspective on our River View project's construction site from last month before all the snow melted - exciting to watch @mills_concrete pour the concrete on this project from the sky! Photo by @ryanjonsheets

One of the most important parts of the design for our Three Pillars project was integrating the home into the landscape so that it felt harmonious with its location. We nestled the home into the steeply sloped site so that it doesn't "skyline," or break the plane of the horizon when viewed from Jackson's Town Square. Video by @ryanjonsheets

The staircase at our Three Pillars project brings metal and wood together in a variety of textures and tones. Woven metal mesh panels come down the wall with the stairs, cleverly disguising acoustical absorption that allows the staircase to be open without too much noise transfer between the levels. As clean as our final projects are, our design process can look a bit messy at certain stages - here’s a shot from the studio this week of what’s on the drawing boards. Photo by @bdsarchitects

Grilling season is almost here! The grill deck at our Cottonwood project is just off the kitchen for convenient access, and has its own deck for relaxing and perfect spot for some lawn games. Native meadow grass and aspens complete the tranquil scene. Photo by @gabeborder

A few interiors at our Mayfly Wood project, beautifully captured here in video. We love playing with texture and the transitions between different bespoke materials. Video by @ryanjonsheets
