CCMRS-IPB conducted coral reef rehabilitation at damaged coral reefs around Nyamuk Island. Those artificial reef buildings for rehabilitation gave shelter spaces for reef fish. This research aims to calculate the effect of coral reef-building, which enhances rugosity to the reef fish diversity around the rehabilitation sites. The study was conducted on Nyamuk Island in the Anambas Islands. Reef fish were sampled annually from 2014 to 2019 using the underwater visual census. The Diversity index and non-Metric Multidimensional Scaling were built to discover reef fish diversity, and reef fish species were affected the most. Yearly data shows an escalation number of reef fish abundance and richness at the end of 2019. The major reef fish group is found to have constant diversity throughout the year compared to other functional groups. The target reef fish group came to this rehabilitation ecosystem primarily attracted by nourishment availability. There is a shift in the reef fish diversity from the early year to the project end. Generally, major reef fish groups will be refuged first around the rehabilitation sites, especially territorial types. Coral reefs are widely known as essential ecosystems that hold various marine organisms, including various crypto-organisms. Cryptofauna, which live among the interstices of coral reefs, significantly escalates the coral reef biodiversity. The complexity of the reef-building corals’ niche could shape the shrimp community structure. This research aims to examine the shrimp diversity and to analyze the shrimp communities on different coral growth structures in Tidung Island, Seribu Islands. The dead coral heads were collected using the timed swim method and the cryptofauna was collected by shattering the dead coral heads. Each species of cryptofauna was photographed and identified. The shrimp community structure was calculated using the multivariate statistic. A total of 165 obligate coral- dwelling shrimps specimens of 30 species belonging to seven families were found. During this study, most of the organisms discovered were from the Alpheidae and Hippolytidae families, who contributed to the relative abundance with up to 34.55 and 30.91%, respectively. The multivariate analysis using non- Metric Dimensional Scaling (nMDS) highlighted three clustering habitat locations between the study sites and the coral growth forms, based on the shrimp abundance. Alpheus pasificus predominantly contributed to the community of the arborescent coral type (in the Tidung Besar coastal zone) and to the corymbose coral type (in the Tidung Kecil coastal zone). A tsunami is one of the natural disasters that often occur in the Ring of Fire. The area around the Ring of Fire has the potential to experience tectonic and volcanic earthquakes. Both types of the earthquake could lead to a tsunami if the earthquake occurs near the coastal area. In December 2004, a tsunami devastated the Aceh coastal area was one of the giant tsunamis in Indonesia territory. The tsunami directly impacted the coastal ecosystem, beaches, low dunes, and wetlands induced ecological breakdown, leading to environmental shifting in each ecosystem. Coral reefs as the first barrier of the coastal zone could have various impacts on the coral reef-building itself. Around Saleh Bay seas when I took reer fish data, I feel something hiding from my eye when I got closer to this anemone. I get more closer to It and I'm found this transparant shirmp.
