I udstillingen ”Papirets hukommelse – Aftryk fra naturen” på KunstCentret Silkeborg Bad viser alle de 100 medvirkende kunstnere sammenhængen mellem fortid og nutid – hver på deres måde.
Hos den hollandske kunstner Bernadette van Beek er det helt konkret: Til sin smukke mobile har hun brugt en afdød vens papirarkiv. Og går man helt tæt på, så kan man tydeligt se vennens notater på papiret.
Du kan se ”Papirets hukommelse – Aftryk fra naturen” indtil 25. maj.

Celebrating its 40-year anniversary, IAPMA marks this milestone with an international exhibition featuring works by more than 100 artists from around the world at Art Centre Silkeborg Bad. The exhibition also includes the Ruby Jubilee Collection, a special IAPMA mail art project comprising more than 110 international postcards. The Biennale is accompanied by an artist in residence programme funded by Art Centre Silkeborg Bad.

The installation ‘Relic of Friend’ is about memories. I was trying to capture fragments of memories in an image. I used the paper legacy of a friend who passed away last year. As an architect, designer and poet, he recorded many thoughts, sketches, designs, and calculations on paper.
The 3 mobiles rotate continuously by using 3 small motors. And that’s how it is with memories. They always consist of fragments and these particles appear and disappear in an ongoing process. It is an intimate artwork with an universal character.

In celebration of IAPMA’s 40th anniversary in 2026, the ‘Ruby Jubilee Collection’ brings together a curated series of postcards created by over 110 IAPMA members from around the world.
The Ruby Jubilee Collection will be exhibited at the @iapma paper art biënnale 2026 @silkeborgbad Denmark, followed presentations at Galerie Handwerk Munich and in Devonport, Australia.

Last Saturday February 7th IAPMA paper art biennale 2026 ‘Impressions of Nature: Paper as Memory’ opened in the atmospheric Art Centre Silkeborg Bad. To see until May 25th.
It’s an honour and pleasure to be one of the artists.
