The RoadShow is entering its next chapter!
Since 2024, the BCRB RoadShow has introduced more than 20,000 British Columbians to careers in highway maintenance and road building. What began as a workforce attraction initiative is now evolving into something more.
Starting March 2026, the RoadShow is transitioning from a public-facing outreach initiative into a training program designed specifically for the BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association members and municipalities.
This new phase focuses on real-world, scenario-based operator training, brought directly to members’ yards and service areas.

The RoadShow is one way the industry connects with future heavy equipment operators.
Behind it is a larger commitment to workforce development, safety, and long-term industry growth across the province.
The BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association leads that effort, convening members and driving initiatives that strengthen BC’s road building sector.

The RoadShow made a big impression at our 2025 AGM!
Since launching in 2024, it’s travelled across the province, connected with thousands of participants, and helped spark new interest in road building careers.
As we head into 2026, it’s exciting to see how this momentum will carry into its next evolution as a mobile training tool.
Thanks to everyone who has been part of the journey and helped shape the future of industry outreach and training in BC.
Every new year brings a wave of fresh thinking. People start asking big questions about what comes next and where they’re going.
The RoadShow is proud to be a place where those questions can turn into real opportunities.
We’re entering 2026 with a slightly changed focus, but the same mission: to help people discover careers that build British Columbia.

Last year, the BC Road Builders & Heavy Construction Association was awarded the very first Award for Excellence in Career Education.
This milestone is a tribute to the volunteers, members, and participants who bring The RoadShow to life. It’s a reminder of what happens when people are given the chance to explore new futures, hands-on.
