So inspired by this little guy. He absolutely loves sports and hustles so hard despite being on chemo. He fights through pain in his legs from chemo side effects, nausea, fatigue and still gives 100%. Today he had about a 60 yd touchdown and I teared up thinking about how tough he has been through it all! Couldn’t be prouder. #bursonthebrave #myhero #bursonstrong

Wanted to share a personal story. I am usually very private but I feel in this time we all need encouragement and hopefully this will encourage some. Yesterday when we told Burson he had to go back up to Children’s for the doctors to check him out he was understandably really upset and sad to leave on his birthday. I was trying to comfort him but can’t hug him right now because of the HFM disease that I picked up from our youngest and I just felt really frustrated and helpless. I went into a room and started crying and asking God where are you where are you over and over. Corona virus, Bursons Leukemia, Dallas shutdown, just too much. And as I came out and walked to the front door to get Burson in the car my Dad and Debbie pulled up. They had driven up from Waco as a surprise just to wish Burson happy birthday from the truck. 😭 The comfort of my Dad and the covering that everything is going to be okay is what I needed and was I believe God’s way of answering my cry for help. God cares and He listens. We will all get through this! #bursonstrong #bursonthebrave
Such a special anniversary trip! Got to see Federer, Serena and Coco play in the US Open, played tennis in Central Park, ate some amazing food, desserts at Serendipity, spent time with family we don’t get to see enough, NYC we will be back soon!
