With significant construction underway at the terminal, vehicle staging space has been reduced by 25%. Advance bookings help keep traffic moving safely, make the best use of limited space, and give customers greater certainty before they travel. We’re heading into another high-demand summer on the coast, with travel volumes expected to exceed last year’s record of 10.3 million passengers and 4.1 million vehicles. We continue to see strong demand for travel, including work, essential services, tourism, and increased activity linked to the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Preparing for peak season is a months-long, system-wide effort across our operations. This year, that includes: • Earlier start to summer schedules on June 11 • 22 vessel refits completed • Full 37-vessel fleet ready for summer • 630+ seasonal hires and earlier training • 1,800+ additional round trips added • More reservation capacity and Saver fares • New tools like sailing alerts and waitlists Our focus is on delivering reliable service with the capacity we have today, while managing growing demand during peak periods. We’re encouraging customers to plan ahead, book early, and travel outside peak times where possible Read more in our latest update through the ‘News Room’ link in our bio.

Over the past year in Passages 100+ BC‑authored and BC‑published titles have been featured. Today nearly half of books on shelf are from BC creators, that’s an increase of 30 percent from last year. Happy BC Book Day from BC Ferries 📚
