Today is the annual @moose_hide_campaign day: a national day of action to end violence towards women and children, featuring workshops, speakers, and events across Canada. The Moose Hide Campaign began as a BC-born Indigenous-led grassroots movement to engage men and boys in ending violence towards women and children. It has since grown into a nationwide movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians from local communities, First Nations, governments, schools, colleges/universities, police forces and many other organizations—all committed to taking action to end this violence. We stand in solidarity and encourage you to learn more at moosehidecampaign.ca

On #RedDressDay and every day, BCCWITT remembers and honours the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ peoples (MMIWG2S+) by listening to their stories, and by commemorating both their strength and their spirit. We stand in solidarity with the families and communities who continue to grieve, and to fight for justice, healing, and change. To raise awareness and pay tribute you can: wear red, learn more about #MMIWG2S, and participate in local community events that honour the missing and all those impacted. #NoMoreStolenSisters (photo from artist Jamie Black's REDress Project)
