Say hello to Tulip and her handler, Taylor, from the wonderful team at BC & Alberta Guide Dogs @bcandalbertaguidedogs . They’ll be on-site every Tuesday throughout the run of the Dogs! A Science Take exhibition, ready to interact with guests.
Keep an eye on the live dog schedule on our social media channels for the latest updates and plan a perfect time to visit and meet these furry good bois and girls. Stop by the Dog Park area in the exhibit, ask questions, and hear their stories.
It’s going to be paws-itively adorable and un-fur-gettable 🐾

Have you made it to the end of the week only to realize this weekend is Mother's Day? We got you - give a puppy sponsorship and claim the title of favourite (non-canine) child.
Sponsor a Puppy - link in bio!
Meet Avery, Blu, Edie, Kim, Lita, and Solly!
These pups (from Kimchi & Tiger's litter) are off on their puppy raising adventures, exploring all the new sights, sounds, and smells around them.
Congratulations to Millie and Casey (from our friends at @padsdogs ) who recently welcomed 9 puppies! These sweeties are spending their days snoozing and snuggling until they meet their puppy raisers next month.
Today is #NationalFirstRespondersDay, a day to recognize emergency responders and the crucial support they provide for our communities.
Our Occupational Stress Intervention Dog (OSID) program places highly specialized dogs with first responder units to help address the increased risk of Occupational Stress Injuries due to the nature of these jobs.
These dogs are trained in recognizing signs of stress and anxiety and providing Deep Pressure Therapy, among other skills, to work alongside handlers in supporting the mental health of first responders.
Meet some of our OSIDs:
Ferus - placed with the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association
Benji - placed with the BC Burn Fund
Beacon - placed with the Saanich Police Department
Daisy - placed with the Victoria Police Department
Ragnar - placed with the Surrey Police Service
Blaise - placed with the Edmonton Police Service
Sadie - placed with the Calgary Police Service
Happy International Guide Dog Day 🐾💙
Today, we celebrate the incredible guide dogs who provide independence, safety, and companionship to people who need it most. We’re grateful for @bcandalbertaguidedogs and their continued commitment to training guide dogs and empowering individuals to move through the world with confidence and independence.
Today is #InternationalGuideDogDay - a day to celebrate our roots as B.C's first guide dog school!
Since our very first graduate in 1997, we've trained and placed over 400 Guide and Service Dogs with individuals across B.C. and Alberta; joined the @igdfsocial and @adiintl as fully accredited members; and expanded our programs to train Autism and OSI-PTSD Service Dogs, providing even more life-changing dogs to those who need them most 🦮
