“Hilo rojo”

Para nuestro primer evento en México, exploramos la intersección entre la memoria, el instante capturado y la distancia emocional entre el espectador y la obra. En una performance de casi 8 horas, Margarida conectó fotografías mediante un hilo rojo, creando un puente simbólico entre momentos vistos a través de una red mosquitera, que mediaba la relación del público con la obra y alteraba su percepción del momento.
Los espectadores observaron desde fuera, sin poder interactuar con la performer, enfatizando la distancia y la imposibilidad de vivir plenamente el momento capturado. Videos de Bulletpoint fueron proyectados, añadiendo una capa sensorial inmersiva que intensificó la atmósfera.
El hilo rojo no solo unió momentos fugaces, sino que simbolizó la constante búsqueda de significado, mientras que la red mosquitera generó un espacio donde las conexiones entre los elementos de la obra se sentían tanto cercanas como distantes, invitando a reflexionar sobre memoria, percepción y el ser.

For our first event in Mexico, we explored the intersection between memory, the captured moment, and the emotional distance between the viewer and the artwork. In a nearly 8-hour performance, Margarida connected photographs with a red thread, creating a symbolic bridge between moments seen through a mosquito net, which mediated the audience’s relationship with the artwork and altered their perception of reality.

The red thread not only connected fleeting moments but also symbolized the constant search for meaning, while the mosquito net created a space where connections between the elements of the work felt both close and distant, inviting reflection on memory, perception, and being.
