JASON āJ-SUNā NOER, Ph.D., is a practitioner of and an active competitor in several Street and Hip Hop Dance forms. He is a member of Battle Catz (MN), West Coast Rockers (CA), and Get Down Gang (PA). His most recent win was 1st place in Breaking at Battlezone XV in Pittsburgh, PA (2025). He is also the artistic director of MIXTAPE, a dance theater collective serving the Twin Cities Hip Hop Dance scene. J-Sun is the former Disciplinary Head of the Hip Hop Dance track at the University of Minnesota (2017-2023) and a current faculty member at Point Park University in the first BFA in Hip Hop Dance program.
