BARIKAD
The Barikad Crew are one of the Haiti’s most popular Groups. In the summer of 2008, four members of the hip-hop band were killed in a car accident . This powerful painting encapsulates the essence of the Barikad Crew, a revolutionary force in the Haitian music scene, symbolizing their deep connection and impact on Haitian culture. The figure in the painting serves as both a tribute and a manifestation of the Crew’s vibrant energy, resilience, and influence, which transcends music to touch the very soul of Haitian identity.
