The forecourt to the art gallery and museum in Adelaide is a versatile and relaxing space to pass through. It provides many various passive activations throughout such as seating, sculptures and water play elements. The materiality matches in beautifully with the architecture and the landscaping is simple yet effective, allowing views through the various activations. #landscapedesign #adelaideartgallery #forecourt
Some highlights from the Melbourne International Garden & Flower Show. It was a great turn-out this year with so many fresh and inspiring installations! #landscapedesign #landscapearchitecture #mifgs2019
I bought myself a Lotus berthelotii 'Gold Flash' a few weeks ago. It's flowers have suddenly bloomed all at once and they are out of this world! 😍😍 #berthelotii #gardening
I had a very busy day on Saturday at the nursery (Jungle Collective). Our theme was focused on stocking plants that are shade tolerant/low light for indoors. Even though it was raining and cold for most of the day we still had an impressive 700 or so customers.
.
This is the biggest turn out we have had in awhile, does this say something about nearby apartments? How much solar access are they getting? I had countless customers ask me what plants can survive in a bedroom that has very limited to no natural light.
.
These photos were taken at about 9:30am, so much excitement, too much energy. ☕️

What I appreciated most in the city of Strasbourg is the element of connection carefully weaved into the city centre. The movement in the city has a clear hierarchy with priority to bikes and pedestrians. There is still vehicular traffic, but roads do not create any boundaries within the public realm of the city centre (with the use of narrow laneways and ample crossing locations). You have the option in this city to choose your method of transport but you will be rewarded if you choose a sustainable method (by giving you more access, safe passage to your destination and a scenic environment).
.
I captured this moment as I was impressed with the harmony between the built form, forecourt, pedestrian avenue and road. So many layers! This is the kind of space that promotes activity.

Teufelsberg (translating to Devil's Mountain) is a man-made hill that covers a secret, never completed nazi military-technical college.
The structure you see in the photographs is dilapidated remnants of a U.S listening station from the Cold War (situated at the top of the man-made mountain). The listening tower is now used as an artists refuge which has transformed the space to an informal gallery for those who dare to enter.
It was an incredible experience visiting something with such unique history. Seeing the collaborative efforts of local and international artists has drastically transformed the internal and external spaces and has given the dilapidated structure a new lease on life. #teufelsberg #berlin #travelphotography
