So what exactly is “Earthshine’?
It's when the dark face of the Moon catches the Earth’s reflected glow and returns the light, creating a ghostly version of a full Moon.
Earthshine is easiest to see around the time of a new Moon.
It tends to be brightest between April and June but does occur at other times of the year.
