The Boynton Beach community came together to honor Lamar Jackson with the retirement of his iconic No. 7 jersey at Boynton Beach Community High School, a proclamation from Mayor Rebecca Shelton officially declaring May 15 as Lamar Jackson Day, and the renaming of the road leading to the school as “Lamar Jackson Way.”
Surrounded by former teammates, coaches, students, and supporters, Lamar shared words of encouragement with the next generation, reminding young athletes to never let anyone tell them they can’t achieve greatness.
A proud moment for Boynton Beach and a lasting legacy for one of our own. #BoyntonBeach #LamarJackson #LamarJacksonDay
