Thank you so much to all who attended our fundraiser on Nov 15th - together we raised $1415 for Rabie and his neighbors! Our next event is on Dec 14th, so come out and help Mahmoud and his family! No matter how small your contribution may feel to you, it can make a life-altering difference to our beneficiaries. No one should have to navigate a genocide alone, and your kindness goes a long way to help those who need it most.

Many of us feel that our place in the world is unsure, unsteady, slipping through our grasp as we try to root our being in this material thing, that relationship, this position of command, that flawed belief system. I certainly do. Nonetheless, there is a core to every life that is constant, unshakeable, unbreakable. This is your home, and mine. This song is an effort to connect us to that place of confidence, resilience, healing, and strength. Gaza Family Fundraiser 2 is today! 808 West Sedgewick, 2-9 PM. Last time we raised $2500 for two families in the strip. Help us top that! We are raising money for Rabie, a Palestinian poet and artist who is well known in the strip for his generosity to others. Here is a statement from him: “In the face of this injustice and contempt for human life.. our lives. there are those who refuse to normalize death. There are those who insist that every soul has value, that every victim deserves to be remembered, mourned, and have their rights demanded. There are those who resist and refuse to accept the cheap price that the killers have imposed on our blood. They document, narrate, remind, and expose. They preserve the names and stories of the victims, so they do not become mere numbers in statistics.
