The Menopause Clinic at Bay Doctors will be launching in May 2026 in our new rooms on Sandy Point Road. Headed by Dr Lynn Gay, our doctors are offering a private, specialised service to help women navigate perimenopause/menopause and beyond. With allocated sessions, long appointments and doctors who are members of the Australasian Menopause Society, our goal is to help women with evidence-based, up to date information and therapies. We will be accepting new patients for these appointments. Keep an eye on our website .au over the coming weeks for more details about appointment times and how to book. Updates will be posted on social media also.

A friendly reminder on this beautiful sunny Thursday! We value all of our patients at Bay Doctors and Skin Cancer Clinic. We also value the time and expertise of our doctors and nurses. We appreciate that sometimes circumstances prevent people coming to their booked appointments and we are understanding of this. We would ask that if you are unable to attend, you give us as much notice as possible as we always have a waiting list of patients who need appointments. Our staff will always do their best to fit in unwell patients that need to be seen on the day and having prior notice of unfilled appointments enables us to see those patients in need.

From the 1st of July we will be offering comprehensive Menopause Health Assessments. Book in today for a 15 minute appointment with our nurse, followed by an appointment with your GP. If you are perimenopausal, menopausal, or just wanting to discuss symptoms that you are not sure about, please come in and have a chat. We love women's health at Bay Doctors, and we want to help all women stay strong and fit as they age.

An open letter to patients from Dr Mark Adamski Dear Patients, It is with mixed feelings and great fondness, that I have decided to leave Port Stephens to pursue my old passion of rural general practice. I am moving to a town in the Central West that has been without a doctor for over a year. I will miss the good people of the Bay and it has been my privilege to care for you, whilst also being confident that I am leaving you in the capable and caring hands of my colleagues at Bay Doctors and Skin Cancer Clinic. I understand that this may come as a little shock to you. I also understand the difficulty of finding a GP in the area. Can I assure you that Bay Doctors are mobilising at the moment to try and find both a short-term and long-term solution to addressing your health needs. The staff at Bay Doctors will be in contact with you when they have found a replacement for me. We would respectfully ask that you not ring the practice with enquiries about who my replacement will be as our reception staff are already extremely busy. The existing GPs will work together to see my patients until a suitable permanent GP is secured. They will also put regular updates on their website and Facebook site. Of course, we encourage you to please call the surgery to book appointments as they are required. Any forward-booked appointments will be honoured. My last day of consulting will be Friday the 27th of June. Once again, it has been a privilege to look after you in Port Stephens. Yours sincerely Dr Mark Adamski

As a practice, we are taking part in the May 50K to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research in Australia. We have several patients with MS in our practice and any research benefits them and the thousands of others affected by this disease. We aim to collectively walk or run 100km in May. Please think about donating to this very worthwhile cause via our May 50K profile page, the link is below. /fundraisers/baydoctorsandskincancerclinic

We celebrate all of the women who work at Bay Doctors. We are lucky to have such a diverse bunch, hailing from Australia, Mauritius, Malaysia, South Africa, Germany, Canada and the USA. There is great strength in diversity as there is great strength in women.

Dr Sienna McWhae-Brown is one of our lovely registrars. She has a very special interest in antenatal care and has a lot of experience working in the obstetrics and gynaecology space in her junior hospital years. Sienna has put together a detailed plan for shared care of antenatal patients and is very excited to look after any low-risk patients who are hoping to have most of their antenatal care close to home. There are well established benefits from seeing the same practitioner throughout pregnancy. Sienna is open to new patients wishing to access antenatal care or even just to talk about pregnancy planning. Please call the practice to book in to see Sienna!
