The East squeaked by the West today during the annual 4th of July All Star match. Huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this game as fun as it was. Happy 4th and we’ll see you out there on 7/13 when league play resumes.
Huzzah! Amidst a blustery gale in fair Dublin town, the mighty Oakland Colonels commenced their 20th campaign upon the base ball grounds with great vigor and triumph! By stick and glove, our gallant men bested the spirited Dublin Aces by a tally of 12 to 5.
Standing tall above the rest was our stout-hearted third sacker, “Goldie,” who did verily smite the horsehide with authority — collecting four strikes in five attempts and driving in two tallies for the cause. A most worthy display of base balling prowess!
Though the coming week offers respite for sore arms and weary legs, the Colonels shall next rally at their home grounds of Washington Park on Sunday, April 13, where they shall face off against the formidable San Jose Dukes. Bring forth your parasols, pennants, and peals of cheer — let us fill the grandstand and make merry!

Your 2024 BAVBB champions ... @berkeleyclarions win their first crown after defeating the SF Pacifics 7-0 at historic Albert Park in San Rafael. This was their third title match against the Pacifics, losing the first two meetings in ’22 and ’23. The league now turns its eyes to the Golden Gate Cup tournament, giving every team a chance to clinch the league's coveted trophy. Opening Round games begin this weekend. Huzzah!
Clarions move up to 4-2 on the year with a victory over the @dublin_aces . Final tally 14-5 in the sole match of the day. Next weekend all teams return to action.
