Iâm speechless.
2025 was a hell of a ride. It started withâŠnothing. No job. No money. All jobs in January and February: cancelled.
A lot of acquisition work was my answer to that. And a lot of reels on my instagram channel, to stay relevant for the algorithm. (Turns out: I donât care about the algorithm đ)
First jobs hit me in the end of February and from then kept sliding into my mails until the end of the year. Sure, I had a couple of vacation trips (much needed at one point) but I also wanted to fill the gap and make as much money as in the previous year 2024.
More acquisition, more connections, more jobs.
I met so many cool people this year! Agencies, clients, fellow designers, friends, newborn childrenâŠ
This year was starting slow, but Iâm officially convinced and thankful, that being self employed was one of my best decisions ever!

There are many tools and plugins that will help you to fasten up your workflow in Adobe After Effects.
But there is one particular one that helps me every time when I need to offset an animation with multiple layers: Transition Shifter!

Language switch in Adobe After Effects
Working globally for many different clients is sometimes a pain in the A**
Adobe After Effects is not capable of translating Effects and Expressions from one language to another.
Luckily there is a work around for that.
Just Right Click Adobe After Effects > Show Content Package > Dictionaries > and rename your .dat file
The Original Language, wich is English, will load now every time you are opening After Effects đȘ

You can use an expression, so that the Stroke Width of your shape will adapt automatically to the scale value. Like that you can prevent the style of your composition and the requirements of your client.
