It might be the start to spring, but I am posting one of my favorite fall 🍁 elopements in the heart of the champagne region in France. My beautiful client always orders a cake whenever she comes to Paris, but this time she traveled three hours to grab a cake in Chapel Hill. I’m so thankful for the love infused into experiences like these. It brings me joy when clients turn into friends 💜🍰 A red velvet cake layered with a cheesecake filling. Vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream garnished with shards of almond tuile cookies.

Even though strawberry season is over, I couldn’t let summer end without making a fraisier to enjoy at home. I jazzed it up by adding a little blood nectarine and micro red shiso to the strawberry compote inside. 🍓🍓
